Even the smallest cat is a masterpiece (Leonardo da Vinci)

Starting off the breeding of Norwegian forest cats, we were completely ignorant of the feline situation in Germany and its neighbouring countries. But we have used the time, made observations and started forming ideas of our own. Some of it we liked, other things could not convince us.

Meanwhile we have developed a firm standpoint we are exercising our breeding from. Therefore, our former self-made concept has changed into a very personal philosophy.
We are sure, in the first place, that we will not follow any fashionable breeding trends, particularly regarding x-colours and sharp-as-a-knife-shaped heads. What is instead before our eyes is the picture of the Norwegian forest cat of the early years when it was acknowledges as a race.

That is why we prominently direct our attention to the natural looks of the cat, preservation of its sane gene potential and its strong-minded and man-inclined nature. With our breeding results we wish to get as close as possible to its original looks. In proceeding so we remain patient - after all, evolution has been patient too. We will have long intervals as to the pregnancies of our cats; our breeding cats are excellent mothers, but we will let them be simply "cats" at the same time.

Before starting their breeding function, our cats will be introduced to international experts at exhibitions, so breeding suitability according to prescribed race standard will be secured.

We live with our cats, not on them. So we guarantee our cats total health protection. Outbalanced nutrition plus total and punctual vaccination are involved. Our cats and tomcats are regularly tested on cardiological, nephrological and haematological peculiarities - with modern methods of veterinary medicine.

Our kittens get best-possible socialization within our family and our cats' group. That is why they are not given away aged younger than 16 weeks. By then, they'll have had - beside normal immunization - a test on FeLV and their first leucosis vaccination.

We do not sell any of our cats before making sure on the ground that the buyer is willing to provide a cat-concurring environment. Please note that we do not give away any of our kitten for unattended roaming outdoors. We raise our young animals with love and care and do not want to send any animal into an uncertain future.

We do not sell cats from our litters that are not in good health at the moment of purchasing - otherwise we will withdraw from the contract.

Young animals will basically be taken by us to their new homes. Delivery at or immediately after an exhibition we refuse to do. An exhibition is an unusual situation for a kitten, so any interested person is required to look at the kittens in their usual environment at our home because in an exhibition cage a kitten will not behave as freely as at home.

We will inform any purchaser thoroughly about the needs and peculiarities of a Norwegian forest cat and we will further counselling as well.

We are member of an independent cat association in Germany and commit ourselves to strictly observe the targets and breeding guidelines of our cat association.
Moreover, we confess to the "European Convention for the Protection of Pet Animals", thus carrying out the standards established there.
